A Message from MASTER WOOD -

The recent belt examinations on 11th and 12th December provided another opportunity for our instructors and students to show exactly what is special about our art and to demonstrate why our popularity has endured despite another challenging year for everyone.

Instructor Update

It is my unfortunate duty to announce the departure of two of our instructors - Mr Danny Collins and Mr Lee Walker, both of whom have decided not to renew their membership of the UK Sooyang Do Association, and that, as a consequence, neither are licenced, insured or permitted to teach Sooyang Do, to represent Sooyang Do, or to use the Sooyang Do name or logo in any way whatsoever.  Both Mr Collins and Mr Walker will continue to enjoy my respect, as well as my gratitude, for their contribution to Sooyang Do and I wish them the best of success in their future endeavours.

With respect to Mr Walker, it would be remiss of me not to make a special mention of Mr Collins, who has been a fantastic instructor and a true friend to me during more than twenty years in which he has developed from a young student into a capable and formidable instructor.  Although sad to see Mr Collins go I will continue to afford him the respect he has most certainly earned and am confident he will go on to enjoy success outside of Sooyang Do.  I would therefore wish him the very best of luck in both a professional and personal capacity.

With regard to those Sooyang Do students who had been training under Mr Collins or Mr Walker and who wish to continue in Sooyang Do, I can confirm that we will be making every effort to ensure that Sooyang Do classes continue in your local areas and with the minimum of disruption, as soon as government regulations/advice and our responsibility to our students make it practical to do so.
